Apple Ipod Nano Error Codes

Latest version of iTunes won't install properly?
I use Mozilla Firefox as my internet browser on my XP, I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes.
Once it finished I clicked open and it came up with a box saying the file "is an executable file. executable files may contain viruses or other malicious code that could harm your computer etc etc"
I clicked ok, windows installer comes up but then i get an error message saying
"Could not access network location iTunes\."
I click retry and the same happens over and over again.
Ive tried this before and the same thing happened.

I need the version for the 4th gen iPod Nano.
and I am the administrator on my computer.
Ive checked my registry data, everythings okay
Ive downloaded the updates I need
I also e-mailed Apple but they were no help at all
its really frustrating, anybody know what to do?
I have the same problem. Over and over. Very frustrating. I've tried deleting/reinstalling it, etc. still won't work 
If you figure it out please let me know
